İNSTAGRAM KULLANIM NEDENLERİ ÖLÇEĞİNİN GELİŞTİRİLMESİ VE ÖLÇEĞİN BAZI DEĞİŞKENLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, İnstagram Kullanım Nedenleri Ölçeğini geliştirmek ve instagram kullanım nedenlerinin cinsiyet ve okul türüne göre değişip değişmediğini incelemektir. Çalışma İstanbul ilinde iki ortaokul ve iki lisede okuyan 878 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcıların 336’sı (38.3%) erkek, 542’si (61.7%) kadındır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi 442, doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ise 436 öğrenci ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada, İnstagram Kullanım Nedenleri Ölçeği ve Sosyal Medya Bağımlılığı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Kapsam geçerliği için uzman görüşüne başvurulmuştur. Faktör analizi sonucunda 15 maddenin öz değeri 1’den büyük olan dört faktör altında toplandığı görülmüştür. İlk faktör popülerlik ve saygınlık, ikinci faktör eğlenme, üçüncü faktör diğerlerini takip etme ve dördüncü faktör de sorunlardan kaçış olarak belirlenmiştir. Ölçek maddelerinin faktör yük değerlerinin .65 ile .85 arasında değiştiği, madde toplam korelasyonlarının .28 ile .51 arasında değiştiği görülmektedir. Ölçek maddelerinin ayırt edicilik düzeylerinin iyi olduğu görülmüştür. Doğrulayıcı analiz sonucunda elde edilen uyum indekslerinin iyi uyum verdiği tespit edilmiştir (X2 /sd = 3.40, RMSEA = 0.07, SRMR = 0.05, IFI = 0.90, CFI = 0.90, GFI = 0.92, AGFI = 0.89). Cronbach Alfa iç tutarlılık katsayısı .82 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak bu ölçeğin ergenlerde instagram kullanım nedenlerini ölçmek için geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek olduğu anlaşılmıştır.The aim of this study was to develop the Reasons for Instagram Use Scale and to investigate whether instagram motives are changed according to gender and type of school. The study was conducted with 878 students in two secondary schools and two high schools in Istanbul. Of the participants, 336 (38.3%) were male and 542 (61.7%) were female. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted with 442 students and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted with 436 students. Reasons for Instagram Use Scale and Social Media Addiction Scale were used in the study. Expert opinion was sought for content validity. As a result of factor analysis, it was seen that 15 items were grouped under four factors with eigenvalues greater than 1. The first factor was determined as popularity and prestige, the second factor was amusement, the third factor was following others, and the fourth factor was escaping problems. It was seen that the factor load values of the scale items ranged between .65 and .85, and item total correlations ranged between .28 and .51. The scale items were found to have a good level of discrimination. The fit indices obtained from the confirmatory analysis were found to be acceptable (X2 / sd = 3.40, RMSEA = 0.07, SRMR = 0.05, IFI = 0.90, CFI = 0.90, GFI = 0.92, AGFI = 0.89). Cronbach Alpha internal consistency coefficient was .82. As a result, the scale was found to be a valid and reliable scale to measure the motives of instagram use in adolescents.
