dc.description.abstractLOJİSTİK PERFORMANSIN ULUSLARARASI TİCARET VE EKONOMİK BÜYÜME ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİLERİ ÖZET Lojistik, ülkelerin iktisadi kalkınmaları için stratejik öneme sahip temel sektörlerden bir tanesidir. Lojistik faaliyetleri bir işletmenin rekabet gücünü belirleyen en önemli etkendir. Her geçen gün globelleşme ve rekabetin artması ile birlikte lojistik dış ticaretin en önemli halkası haline gelmiştir. Lojistik faaliyetlerini geliştirmiş olan işletme, rakipleri karşısında bir adım öndedir. Dış ticaretle doğrudan bağlantılı olan lojistik sektörü, ülkelerde ne kadar gelişmişse, söz konusu ülkenin dış ticaretteki performansı ve başarısı da o kadar arttıracaktır. Lojistik performasın ve dış ticaretin artması, ekonomik açıdan büyümeyi ve gelişmeyi beraberinde getirecektir. Bu kapsam doğrultusunda çalışmanın amacı, lojistik performansın uluslararası ticaret ve ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkilerinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmada lojistik ve dış ticaret kavramlarına ve lojistik performansa detaylıca değinilmiş olup OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development) ülkelerinde lojistik performansın uluslararası ticaret ve ekonomik büyüme üzerindeki etkilerini ortaya koyabilmek amacıyla ekonometrik analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan analizlerde, 2007-2022 seneleri arasındaki, OECD ülke verilerinden yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan panel eşbütünleşme analizinde 2 farklı modele yer verilmiştir. OECD ülkelerinin ticaret hacminin bağımlı değişken olduğu model 1'de, OECD ülkelerinin GSYİH'sı, lojistik performans endeksi ve doğrudan yabancı yatırımı bağımsız değişken olarak ele alınmıştır. Model 2'de ise bağımlı değişken olarak OECD ülkelerinin GSYİH'sı, bağımsız değişkenler ise lojistik performans endeksi, uluslararası ticaret hacmi ve doğrudan yabancı yatırımlar kullanılmıştır. Bağımsız değişkenlerden biri olan OECD ülkelerinin lojistik performans endeksi verileri Dünya bankası istatistik veri tabanından elde edilmiştir. Bağımlı değişken olan uluslararası ticaret hacmi ve diğer bağımsız değişkenlerden, GSYİH ve doğrudan yabancı yatırımların GSYİH içerisindeki payına ilişkin verilere OECD veri tabanından ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma modelinden elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda OECD ülkelerinin lojistik performansı, uluslararası ticaret hacmini ve ekonomik büyümeyi istatistiki anlamda anlamlı ve pozitif yönde etkilediği gözlemlenmiştir. Lojistik performans ekonomik büyümeyi doğrudan değil dolaylı olarak etkilemektedir. Yani lojistik performans, dış ticareti arttıracak, dış ticaretin artması ise ekonomik büyümeye katkıda bulunacaktır. dc.description.abstractTHE EFFECTS OF LOGISTICS PERFORMANCE ON INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH SUMMARY Logistics is one of the main sectors of strategic importance for the economic development of countries. Logistics activities are the most important factor determining the competitiveness of an enterprise. Logistics has become the most important link in foreign trade with the increasing globalization and competition. The company that has advanced logistics infrastructure increases its competitiveness. The countries that have advanced logistics systems at foreign trade demonstrate higher performance and more success in trade.were Increased logistics performance and foreign trade will lead to economic growth and development. In line with this scope, the aim of the study is to examine the effects of logistics performance on international trade and economic growth. In the study, the concepts of logistics and foreign trade and logistics performance are discussed in detail and econometric analyses are carried out in order to reveal the effects of logistics performance on international trade and economic growth in OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-Operation and Development) countries. OECD country data for the period 2007-2022 were used in the analysis. Two different models are included in the panel cointegration analysis. Where the trade volume of OECD countries is the dependent variable, the GDP, logistics performance index and foreign direct investment of OECD countries are considered as independent variables in model 1. GDP of OECD countries is used as the dependent variable and logistics performance index, international trade volume and foreign direct investments are used as independent variables in Model 2. Data on the dependent variable, international trade volume, and other independent variables, GDP and the share of foreign direct investment in GDP, were obtained from the OECD database. Logistics performance of OECD countries has a statistically significant and positive effect on international trade volume and economic growth in line with the results obtained from the research model. Logistics performance affects economic growth indirectly. In other words, logistics performance will increase foreign trade and the increase in foreign trade will contribute to economic growth.
