This study investigates the factors shaping user intention towards AI-supported mobile health applications (AIMHA) and aims to examine behavioral intention toward AIMHA by focusing on the factors that influence their adoption, both positively and negatively. Based on Dual Factor Theory (DFT) and Innovation Resistance Theory (IRT), a survey research was conducted. 621 individuals were surveyed online and gathered data was analyzed through structural equation modeling via AMOS 24 and Process Macro. Technology anxiety negatively, and technology readiness positively affect behavioral intention towards AIMHAs. Besides, findings related to mediating roles of innovation resistance barriers and moderating roles of health consciousness were gained. Based on our findings, we provide theoretical and practical implications for challenges and opportunities in AIMHA adoption, offering insights to improve current knowledge about technology-related and health-related factors.
