Czech Republic And Changing Political Dynamics After EU Membership
(Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli Üniversitesi, 2022) Karabulut, Seda Kaya
From an advertisement in classical comparative political scientists and authoritarianism after the Soviet Union, events that developed into new areas of discussion where these are refuted after the sale today. The Turkish literature, on the other hand, has had difficulty in catching these new discussion areas. Eastern European comparative political studies, which have certain limitations in Turkey, are late to understand the new conceptual diversity put forward in international publications and to produce new empirical definitions. When we look at the international publications, it is possible to see that there is a literature in which Eastern European states that have changed or have difficulties in changing from their political regimes to their institutional systems, especially after the European Union membership, have gained weight. These states have attracted the attention of modern political scientists with their new forms of government, their deadlocked political practices and their level of success in the reform processes. While the first part of this study will discuss the political changes of the Czech Republic, which is one of the countries at the center of these discussions, after the European Union membership, the second part will strengthen the background with theoretical concepts by giving a literature review on the conceptual diversity in the international academy world in the Czech Republic.

Evaluation of the Georgian Dream Party Leader Bidzina Ivanishili In Terms of Constructive Institutionalism
(Uluslararası Final Üniversitesi, 2026) Karabulut, Seda Kaya
Integrating academic debates into theoretical texts makes conceptual analysis more applicable. Composing current events with theory significantly affects the outcomes of a study. In this regard, the capacity of theories to reproduce themselves enhances their ability to analyze contemporary issues. Within institutionalist theory, there exists a new approach that goes beyond the variants of new institutionalism and develops a more refined institution actor relationship. Known in the English literature as constructivist institutionalism, this theoretical approach—referred to in Turkish as inşacı kurumsalcılık or yapılandırmacı kurumsalcılık—has its intellectual roots in a 1998 study, but its comprehensive analysis was presented by Colin Hay in 2008. This study aims to first explain constructivist institutionalism, a relatively young and intellectually promising approach within the institutionalist tradition, and then to examine the new perspective it offers by analyzing the recent political developments in Georgia. We argue that this theory has a high explanatory capacity in accounting for rising leadership behaviors and the dynamic political strategies of leaders in global politics. Furthermore, the study will emphasize the importance of these younger theoretical revisions in terms of their potential to explain fast-changing political realities. In addition, this study seeks to explore ways of conceptualizing informal leadership as a significant independent variable in processes of institutional change within the theoretical framework. In doing so, it aims to demonst rate that leaders exert influence not only through their formal institutional roles but also through their extra-institutional capacities to shape political outcomes. In order to address this theoretical shortcoming, the study selects Bidzina Ivanishvili as a case study within the context of Georgian politics.

(Georgıa's Polıtıcal Transformatıon: From Independence to Present)
(Akademik Düşünce Enstitüsü, 2022) Karabulut, Seda Kaya
The political conjuncture of the 1990s brought the discussions of democracy and the political system-regime discussions to the agenda, following the disintegration of the USSR. The general atmosphere, which was also led by the western literature, had drawn up a project of order in which a period of peace began, the order of democracy would sit, and moreover, liberal democracy came to the fore. An Europeanization forecast was made for countries close to the West, while an Islamic line was foreseen for the Central Asian states. Here Georgia is separated from other USSR successor states with the target of the West's predictions that it will become European. This study will try to show whether these predictions about Georgia have been realized, whether Georgia is a Western country with its political institutions, social and political structure, election systems. In doing so, Georgia will open up the sincerity of the efforts to integrate Western support into the Western system as a European country, while discussing the strategic tidal policies of the country between the West and the Russian Federation while trying to break with the remains of Georgian domestic politics.
