Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı insanların günlük yaşamlarında büyük önem taşıyan bilişsel beceriler arasında bulunan çalışma belleği ve karar verme becerileri arasındaki ilişkiyi nöropsikolojik temelleri açısından inceleyen çalışmaların derlenmesidir. Literatür incelendiğinde, karar verme fonksiyonlarının frontal korteksin ventromedial alanı ile ilişkili olduğuna bunun yanında çalışma belleğinin dorsolateral alan ile ilişkili olduğuna dair kanıtlar görülmektedir. Bu durum iki işlev arasında bir ayrışma olduğuna işaret olarak kabul edilebilir. Bununla birlikte, çalışma belleği ile ilişkili olduğu düşünülen dorsolateral prefrontal korteks bölgesinde bozulma yaşayan bireylerin çalışma belleği performanslarının düştüğü ancak bulguların aynı zamanda karar verme performanslarının da etkilendiğini göstermesi alanlar arasındaki etkileşimi kanıtlamaktadır.
The purpose of this study is to compile studies examining the relationship between working memory and decision-making skills, which are among the cognitive skills that are of great importance in people's daily lives, in terms of their neuropsychological basis. When the literature is examined, there is evidence that decision-making functions are associated with the ventromedial area of the frontal cortex, while working memory is associated with the dorsolateral area. This situation can be considered as an indication of a dissociation between the two functions. However, the fact that individuals with deterioration in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex region, which is thought to be associated with working memory, have decreased working memory performance, but the findings also show that their decision-making performance is affected, proves the interaction between the areas.
