dc.description.abstractIn this study, free and forced vibration of a bi-material composite beam subjected to external pressure load is investigated. In the solution of the composite beam, plane piecewise solid continua model and finite element method is used. The governing equations of the problems are obtained by using the Hamilton procedure. With the dimensions of the bi-material beam are assumed as plane model, the plane stress problem is implemented. In the study, the effects of the different material constant ratios and distributions on the free and forced vibration responses are investigated.en_US
