Yabancı Uyruklu Öğrenci Özelliklerinin Belirlenmesine Yönelik Bir Anket Geliştirme Çalışması

Abstract

Türkiye’deki yükseköğretim kurumlarında öğrenim gören yabancı uyruklu öğrenci sayısı uluslararasılaşma politikaları kapsamında artış göstermektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Sağlık Hizmetleri Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda öğrenim gören yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin demografik, akademik, sosyoekonomik ve kültürel özelliklerini tespit etmeye yönelik “Yabancı Uyruklu Öğrenci Özelliklerinin Belirlenmesi Anketi”ni geliştirmektir. Anket, literatür taraması sonucunda belirlenen demografik, akademik, sosyoekonomik ve kültürel boyutlarda ele alınmıştır. 35 sorudan oluşan taslak anket formu için uzman görüşüne başvurulmuş, beş öğrenci ile ön uygulama yapılmıştır. Uzman ve öğrenci dönütleri sonrasında yeniden düzenlenen anket 34 soruya indirilmiş ve orantısız tabakalı örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen 50 öğrenciye uygulanmıştır. Ankette yer alan dört boyut için hesaplanan KGİ değerleri 0.91 ile 1.00 arasında değişmektedir. Bu araştırmada geliştirilen anketin, yabancı uyruklu öğrenci profilini ortaya çıkarmak ve öğrencilerin gereksinimlerini belirlemek konusunda alana katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedirThe number of foreign students in higher education institutions of Turkey are increasing within the scope of internationalization policies. The aim of this study is to develop a “Survey for Determining Foreign Student Characteristics” for assigning students’ demographic, academic, socioeconomic, and cultural characteristics in Bursa Uludağ University Vocational School of Health Services. As a result of literature review, survey was discussed under demographic, academic, socioeconomic, and cultural dimensions. For the draft questionnaire consisting of 35 questions, expert opinion was applied, and five students were pre-applied. After the expert and student feedback, the reorganized questionnaire was reduced to 34 questions and applied to 50 students determined by a disproportionate stratified sampling method. The KGI values calculated for the four dimensions included in the questionnaire ranged from 0.91 to 1.00. The survey developed in this study is thought to contribute to the field in order to reveal the profile of foreign students and determine the needs of the students
