| dc.description.abstract | Türkçenin söz varlığı içindeki bazı kelimeler çok farklı anlamlarda ve alanlarda kullanılmıştır. Bu kelimelerden biri de dolap kelimesidir. Bu kelime su dolabı, dönme dolap, dolab (muhasebe defteri), dolapçı, dolab (banka), kebap dolabı (döner), dolap gemisi, dolap çevirmek gibi çok değişik anlamlardaki isim, terim ve deyimlerde kullanılmıştır. Su dolabı ve dönme dolapların yaygın olduğu dönemlerde dolap kelimesi teşbih yapmak amacıyla da edebiyatın her alanında yer almıştır. Ayrıca dolap kelimesi ormancılıkla da yakın alakalı olup bu isimde bir kereste mevcuttur. Dolap keresteleri beton binalar ve yeni yapı malzemelerinden önce evlerin en temel malzemelerinden biri olmuştur. Anlam zenginliği olan kelimeleri kavram dünyamızın, maddi-manevi kültürümüzün yansıtıcısı olarak görmek gerekir. Bu bakımdan dilimizin derinliğini ve zenginliğini anlamak için dolap gibi kelimelerin anlam ve kullanım serüveninin tanınması önemlidir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Some words in Turkish vocabulary are used in very different meanings and contexts. One of these words is the term dolap (wheel, spinning wheel, rotary, cabinetry). This term has been used in many different meanings such as water wheel, ferris wheel, accounting book, bank, rotary kebab (döner kebab), paddle ship, maneuver (set a snare). In the periods when water wheels and ferris wheels were common, the word dolap was frequently used in every field of literature as a simile. The word dolap is also closely related to forestry and there is a type of timber with this name. Dolap timbers have been one of the most basic materials of houses before concrete buildings and new building materials. The words that have a rich meaning like a dolap should be seen as a reflection of our world of concepts and our tangible and intangible culture. In this respect, it is important to recognize the meaning and use of words such as dolap in order to understand the depth and richness of our language. | |
