Öğe Determination of criteria with AHP and ANP methods for the evaluation of occupational health and safety practices in forest fires: The Case of Turkey(Bursa Technical University, 2024) Tezcan, Burcu; Eren, TamerIn this study, it was aimed to determine the most important criteria in occupational health and safety in forest fires occurring in Turkey using Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods. Training and health control activities, occupational accident statistics, risk assessment statistics, and occupational health and safety activities were determined as the main criteria. The sub-criteria are the number of employees affected by forest fires, occupational accident frequency rate, occupati-onal accident severity rate, determination of forest fire risks, determination of fire exit points, analyzing the spread of fire, OHS control, corrective actions, preventive actions, hazardous envi-ronment determinations, occupational health and safety training, periodic health checks, drills of emergency scenarios, effective communication between teams and providing appropriate equipment to fire fighting teams. In total, 4 main criteria and 15 sub-criteria were evaluated by 8 experts using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) methods. These experts work at the General Directorate of Forestry. According to the results obtained from the two methods, OHS training ranks first. In addition, the evaluation of occupational health and safety (OHS) performance in forest fires will shed light on OHS experts, General Directorate of Forestry (OGM) Managers, and future studies.
