dc.description.abstractYeni ihracat pazarlarının belirlenmesi ve var olan ihracat pazarlarındaki payın arttırılması amacıyla ülkelerin ihracat potansiyellerinin tahmin edilmesi büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’nin D-8 ülkelerine olan ihracat potansiyelini tahmin etmektir. Bu doğrultuda, Türkiye’nin ihracat gerçekleştirdiği Pakistan, Bangladeş, Malezya, Mısır, Nijerya ve Endonezya çalışma kapsamında analizlere dâhil edilmiştir. Türkiye’nin D-8 ülkelerine gerçekleştirdiği ihracat potansiyelinin tahmin edilmesi için oluşturulan panel çekim modeline, Türkiye’nin D-8 ülkelerine gerçekleştirdiği ihracat hacmi, Türkiye’nin ve D-8 ülkelerinin gayrisafi yurtiçi hasılaları (GSYİH), Türkiye ile D-8 ülkeleri arasındaki coğrafi uzaklık, D-8 ülkelerinin gümrük tarifeleri, Türkiye ve D-8 ülkelerinin döviz kurları, Türkiye’nin D-8 ülkeleri ile olan tarihsel bağları ile 2008 Küresel Ekonomik Krizi değişken olarak eklenmiştir. Değişkenlerin frekansı yıllıktır ve 1996-2016 arasındaki döneme aittir. Gerçekleştirilen analizler sonucunda; Türkiye’nin D-8 ülkelerinden Pakistan, Bangladeş, Malezya ve Mısır’a potansiyelinin üzerinde ihracat gerçekleştirdiği, Nijerya ve Endonezya’da ise potansiyelinin altında bir ticaret hacmine sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. 
dc.description.abstractIt is important to estimate the export potential of countries in order to identify new export markets and increase the share of existing export markets. The study aims to estimate the potential that Turkey's exports to D-8 countries. In this context, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Egypt, Nigeria and Indonesia were included in the analysis within the scope of the study. Turkey's exports to D-8 countries, Turkey's and D-8 countries' GDP, distance between D-8 countries and Turkey, D-8 countries' custom tariffs, Turkey's and D-8 countries' exchance rates, historical relationship and 2008 Global Crisis were included as variables in order to reveal the Turkey's potantial export to D-8 countries. The frequency of the variables is annual and belongs to the period 1996-2016. The study shows that there is unexploited export potential from Turkey to Nigeria and Indonesia. In addition to this, it is determined that there is export volume above export potential from Turkey to Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Egypt.
