Based on this idea, the role of women's socio-economic characteristics on the divorce is discussed decision in this paper. In-depth interview technique was used in the research and in-depth interviews were conducted with 20 divorced women living in Nilufer District of Bursa. It is concluded that women were negatively affected by economic problems experienced during the marriage process and this situation had an effect on the divorce decision.
