A 25 mg of polymers magnetic calix[4]arenes derivatives was added into the flask shaking at 180 rpm for 1 h at room temperature. pH controls ionic forms of phosphate and dichromate, resulting in their binding capacity to the polymers. Maximum sorption capacity was 96.6 % at pH 2.5 for phosphate and 90.1 % for chromium at pH 3.5. Different polymers may be selective for ions due to their versatility and special characteristics. As a result, magnetic nanoparticle polymers showed both super-paramagnetic behaviour and high sorption capability across dichromate and phosphate ions. © 2016, Chemical Publishing Co.
