These novel compounds were characterized by IR, elemental analyses, UV–vis, and MALDI-TOF spectral data. Moreover, the ability of singlet oxygen generation and aggregation behaviour of these phthaloyanines were investigated in dimethyl sulfoxide using UV-Vis spectroscopy.
