In this study, a new crash box designis developed to improve crash performance of vehicles during frontal impact. In this research, maximum peak force and amount of the energy absorption of the crash box are chosen as objective function. Numerical studies include determination of energy absorption characteristics of different geometries like triggers of crash boxes.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessCrash boxOptimizationVehicle crashworthinessOptimum design of vehicle safety systemsConference Object249224982-s2.0-84923899976N/A
