Indoor air contains a variety of pollutant gases such as NO<inf>x</inf>, SO<inf>x</inf>, CO<inf>x</inf> and volatile organic compounds. Pollutants can lead to a number of complaints on people's health and work efficiency. The most common complaints are headache, eye, nose, and throat irritation, fatigue, skin irritation, coughs and nausea.
