8 Channel Mobile EEG Measurement Device Design
Abstract
The need for portable and wearable EEG measurement systems has increased with the widespread use of EEG signals in many applications. In this study, a portable EEG measurement system with 8 channels, small size, wireless communication, high accuracy and low input noise, which can measure EEG and other bioelectric signals according to measurement criteria, has been designed and realized. In the measurement system; ADS1299 analog front end (AFE) integrated circuit for bioelectric signals as amplifier and analogue digital converter, Microchip RN4020 bluetooth module as communication unit, memory card as recording unit and Atmel Atmega328p microcontroller as control unit are used. The system is supplied with a 1400 mAh Li-Po battery for long time operation (28 hours). The proposed device design is open to development can be used as a modular in many engineering systems using EEG signals since small in volume, low power consumption and high accuracy.
